Mechanism of a flare-up – how understanding can lead to relief

Beaking down "what happens" when you flare-up and coming to understand why your body migth tend to resort to these responses to certain triggers, usually in an effort to help you (an understanding that can occur to you when you slow down enough to listen, instead of letting fear lead the research party) can make for a big breakthrough in managing these dips...

Transitions

We are going through some significant transitions right now, and many of us in our personal lives too; so what do these transitional phases have to tell us; what are they about at the personal and broadest level....and how are these all linked together. Speaking as one who feels them quite profoundly in my body, these are my thoughts...

Dealing with solar minimum blues

Almost as an aside to my usual topics (though it feels like an important one), I feel I want to share an observation this morning and its that I believe there is such a strong correlation between health and the solar cycles as they switch between solar maximum and minimum. Autonomic nerves and their ceaseless dialogue with the universe

A new study supports the theory that the human autonomic nervous system registers space weather events "as they happen" and in their aftermath. For me, its been a challenging yet enlightening journey. Throwing in my two-penneth from personal experience...(read more).

My original post, called Walking … Continue reading Colours passing through – the fibromyalgia synesthesia link

Fibromyalgia – a story of self-recovery

If healing is a return to wholeness, then loss of good health is the ultimate fragmentation of the self; a state, made manifest, of something much deeper occurring on the inside. Ten years ago, my health crashed in the most spectacular way. Across the decade since that time, I find been have steadily regathering all of the scattered parts of myself and putting them back together in such a way that I now find I am much more than the sum of my parts. This is my journey - shared.
