The pitfalls of identification with a label and the power of positivity

Labels can be so useful, for identifying, explaining, pooling information, finding things out...but they also come with pitfalls. Exploring how to use them (with caution) and also the power of positivity as a tool for breaking out of any boxes.

Can an epigenetic trait be put back in the box?

We each have our pool of genes but how these express can be a matter left in the hands of the various lifetime experiences we have; so how do we herd those cats back into line if they go wandering off where we would rather they didn't go?

Choosing my edges

We all need some sort of containment, a reliable edge to our experiences, to enable us feel held and supported in life...and belief systems can do this for the majority of people (to a point). My neurodiverse way seems to have required that I build by own edges from scratch, plucked from a cacophony of sensory experiences and turned into the life supporting routines, rituals and focal points of my life; some distinctly more supportive than others (but getting there).
